Painting Wine Bottles on a Friday Night
Empty bottles, acrylic paint, and zero expectations — my favorite kind of art therapy.
It started because I felt guilty throwing away pretty wine bottles. Now it's a full-on Friday ritual.
The rules are simple: no planning, no Pinterest inspo, no pressure. Just grab whatever colors feel right and go. Some turn out gorgeous — deep blues with gold leaf, sunset gradients, delicate white florals. Some look like a toddler attacked them. Both are fine.
There's something deeply satisfying about turning trash into something you want to display. My windowsill is now lined with painted bottles holding dried flowers, fairy lights, and single stems from the garden.
